Dear Diary, When I bought a car, I made sure it had one particular feature-a remote start system. Having lived in both Pennsylvania and Michigan-states that rarely shut down cities due to snowfall, I often drove to work and school in freezing temperatures. The automatic start system made the trip less painful, especially when I parked on city streets. The remote worked a couple of blocks away! This really helps when you have children, especially since it’s advised to remove kids’ coats when they are fastened into their car seats. And if you have quick trips to work, school or daycare, this ensures your car is comfortable before you actually arrive at your destination. This winter, I’m thankful for that feature, but it’s not the only thing I need for my car to navigate around ice and snow. Click here for fifteen ways to get your car ready for the winter.
