Dear Diary, Years ago, my dad went through a Tiger Woods stage and practiced his golf swing for hours in the backyard. He even purchased a set of clubs, balls and targets. An avid sports fan and a former athlete, my sister and I just knew the perfect Father’s Day gift to get–lessons with a golf pro. However, my dad never cashed in the certificate. I can check email while waiting for Caitlynn to get out of preschool, while under the hair dryer at the salon or even at my parents house. Why do I think my pops will embrace this gift over the others? It comes with Free Data for Life! He doesn’t need Wi-Fi or another bill. Unlike my shopaholic mom, my dad is a bit of a penny pincher.
