Pittsburgh Park Road Trip Heather Hopson April 23, 2017 Uncategorized Dear Diary, You don’t have to spend a lot of money to find something fun to do outdoors. Pittsburgh, voted one of the most livable cities, is filled with fun, family activities to celebrate spring. We live near a popular park, so our adventures are only a hop, skip and a jump away. We feed the ducks, hike the trails and toss pennies into the fountain. When it rains, we play in the covered courtyard of our building, blowing bubbles or bouncing balls. Here are favorite Pittsburgh Parks, all a short drive away. 1. Highland Park: Highland Park is a great park to explore for all ages. You can stroll through the Victorian garden, toss a penny into the breathtaking fountain and walk around the reservoir. There’s also a duck pond, volleyball court and swimming pool. Plus, the park features numerous playgrounds, including one designed especially for preschool age children. Click here to take a trip to other Pittsburgh parks.
